Kathryn Fernholz to present on “Forests and Wood, Our Superpower” at Virginia Tech
The College of Natural Resources and Environment will host the inaugural John F. Hosner Distinguished Lecture.
The lecture, “Forests and Wood, Our Superpower,” will be delivered by Kathryn Fernholz, President of Dovetail Partners, at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 25, in the Commonwealth Ballroom in Squires Student Center. A reception will follow.

In 2025, CNRE is celebrating the first forester hired at Virginia Tech, J. Wilbur O’Byrne in 1925, marking 100 years of forestry education, research, and outreach. The distinguished lecture series honors John F. Hosner, honorary founding dean of the college, who would be 100 years old on Feb. 25, 2025.
