Internship program

Dovetail offers internship opportunities year-round, in partnership with various colleges and universities, and with flexibility in timing, duration, and other considerations to best fit individual needs and interests.

Undergraduate and Graduate students, recent grads, and those with an interest in Dovetail's work are invited to contact us for more information about current opportunities. Intern projects are designed to help meet course or credit requirements whenever possible. Dovetail interns contribute directly to the success of specific projects and programs. Our Interns

Internship Positions:

Communications Internship – develop content for social media platforms, newsletter, and website

Environmental Education Internship – support development and outreach of resources to educators on forests and forest management

Policy Internship – research and monitor local, national, and international environmental policies, which may include attending legislative hearings or other events to gather information and report on policy trends and developments

Responsible Materials Internship – conduct evaluations of material and environmental standards to identify opportunities for improvement and research the impacts voluntary standards can have on building codes and public policy, including forest and forest product certification

Responsible Recreation Internship – provide information related to land use planning, recreation trail management and tourism, research recent trends and data related to outdoor recreation and land use planning

Renewable Energy Internship – provide information related to renewable energy, including biomass utilization and bioenergy applications and technologies by developing information to address frequently asked questions and evaluating the pros and cons of various energy alternatives
