Supporting wildfire resiliency is the focus of a new website for Minnesota’s Arrowhead region

The smoke on the horizon this summer serves as a reminder that fire is an ever-present danger on the landscape, but one we must learn to live with. Over-time, fire has crafted the forests that support the water and wildlife resources we cherish in the Arrowhead region. In support of our relationship with fire, Dovetail Partners is excited to announce the launch of a new website (https://minnesotafac.org) offering wildland fire resilience resources to landowners, communities, and land managers.

Over the past several years, the Dovetail team, with many federal, state, and local partners, has been helping those in the Arrowhead region of Minnesota better live with fire. This new site will serve as an easy to access repository for outreach resources, tools, and information. Resources include tips on how to make your property more wildfire resilient, checklists for property and business owners in the event of an evacuation, and how land managers are returning fire safely to the landscape so that future wildfires are not as extreme. The site also provides links to check your current fire danger, notifications about upcoming events, and how to connect with your local Firewise coordinator.
