North Carolina Urban Forest Council Event Addressing Urban Wood Use
(Minneapolis, MN) - Join Dovetail Partners, a not-for-profit environmental think tank, at the Carolina Canopy Workshop addressing Urban Wood Use: Getting Value from your Urban Trees hosted by the North Carolina Urban Forest Council.
The workshop will be held Friday, August 23rd, 2019 at Reedy Creek Park in Charlotte, NC.
The agenda includes a presentation by Kathryn Fernholz, President of Dovetail Partners, that will address the certification partnership project for wood utilization and community benefits. The project supports recognition for responsible management practices in urban forests, including the environmental benefits of urban wood products.
This workshop is intended to bring together suppliers, processors, and end users of urban wood who recognize the value of the resource and wish to make better use of the material. The workshop serves as a step to further develop the NC Urban Wood Groups and to link potential partners.
